Graphics are grainy and dark. Objects very small. Keyboard controls are very clunky and didn't react fast. Story was ok, but nothing extraordinary. There was a game stopping bug in the 6th chapter which stopped me playing. I was glad to stop as I was getting bored. I don't recommend it due to the bug and poor graphics. Thumbs down from me.. After playing for only 30 min this game froze on me. Then it wouldn't even load to let me play!!. Tearstone is a bit old, so the graphics could be more detailed and there is no HDR graphical effect to light up the dark areas. However, it is less easy than the typical hidden object game, which for me is a good thing because recent HO games tend to be of the sort "Click here, my dear child" and\/or "go forward, go back, go forward, ...".The cursor is not always very helpful and a sharp eye is sometimes needed to locate items in half-darkness. What's more, and more interesting, a touch of creativity (some would say less logic...) is needed to get some of the objects or puzzles. On the whole, we enjoyed it and, with a bit of patience, we didn't need any hints.. I didn't love this game. But I didn't hate it either. It had enough in it to keep me occupied...and because I'm not exactly the smartest nor the best of gamers: it probably took me longer than it should have. Some of the goals\/puzzles were a tad vague (IMO) and left me scratching my head, but like I said--not the sharpest tack n the box here. Hooray for me that I managed to figure everything out. Tearstone is a hidden object game. It has a story that takes you on a quest to various locations where you have to find objects, talk to characters, complete goals, etc, etc... in order to fulfill your sacred destiny and make everything right with the world. The story is pretty simple. However, at times the puzzles can be frustrating. There are no clear instructions on some of them, which left me clicking on random things like an idiot 'til the solution just sort of fell into place. This is a nice, casual game. I honestly picture this more on something like a mobile phone or tablet, but I still enjoyed playing it.. Graphics of 90's, bleak artwork, hint system virtually useless. Can't scale\/crop for wide screen. Was it really designed in 2011?
